Taylor Bearden
Quartermaster - Army
Taylor was born in Anaheim, California on August 7th 1989, but he was raised in Santa Cruz from 4th grade until high school graduation. Less than one year after graduating high school he enlisted in the US Army at 19 years old. After Basic Training Taylor attended the US Army School of Ordinance at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. Here he learned how to perform maintenance on weapon systems ranging from the 9mm issue side arm all the way up to the towed artillery howitzers.
After completing AIT Taylor was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado with the 4th Infantry Division, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 64th Brigade Support Battalion, Bravo Company Bladerunners.
In march 2010 he deployed to Talil, Iraq where he was attached to the convoy security element that escorted civilian contractor drivers of KBR. Taylor and his platoon successfully completed over 50 convoy logistical patrols bringing supplies safely to several other coalition bases large and small throughout southern Iraq. With zero casualties and minimal incidents Taylor re-deployed back to Fort Carson in march of 2011, spending the next year and a half of active duty as an E-4 until ETS.
Taylor is a local photographer that enjoys all things outdoors including: surfing, fishing, hiking camping, hanging at the super secret local spots watching the big dogs rip the point, and anything else that involves being outside and roughing it. When he is not working you can find him behind the bar at the post canteen a couple of nights a week.
